Government of Maharashtra Incentives
As per the Maharashtra EV Policy 2021, fiscal incentives available from state for the FAME approved vehicles are as follows –

In addition to the above fiscal incentives, Government of Maharashtra provides the following incentives -
- For vehicles sold without a battery, 50% of the demand incentive is provided to the vehicle OEM while the remaining is provided to the battery swapping energy operator with whom the end-customer has the agreement for battery leasing
- Early Bird Discount of INR 5000/kWh capped at Rs 1,00,000, if the vehicle is bought before December 31, 2021.
- Exemption of road tax and payment of fees for purpose of issue or renewal of registration certification.
Scrappage incentives for vehicles eligible for demand incentive under this policy are as described below:

Battery warranty and buyback guarantees as described below:

An OEM can avail both the incentives simultaneously with the total incentive amount limited to INR 12,000.
HOW TO AVAIL THE GOVERNMENT OF MAHARASHTRA INCENTIVES
Disbursement of fiscal incentives – Government of Maharashtra
Demand incentives are available to customers in terms of reduced purchasing price of electric vehicle which is reimbursed to the OEM. Theses incentives are admissible only for Battery Electric Vehicles sold in Maharashtra for the first time and is admissible on the base price of BEV. The subsidies are admissible based on the battery capacity of the vehicle (INR/kWh).
For filing the application, OEM must register and file an online/offline application on di.maharashtra.gov.in along with the following documents –
- Report on EVs registered in Maharashtra on fortnight basis
- Invoice with date on or after 23rd July, 2021
- Account details of concerned OEM
- Duly signed affidavit of OEM
