COMPOSITION

• Chairman: Chief Secretary
• Member Secretary: Additional chief secretary of transport department
• Other members: Two principal secretaries from urban development department and principal secretaries of environment, energy and industries departments, industry representatives and experts nominated by state government

RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONING

Responsibilities of the steering committee

• Monitor policy progress
• Address major impediments to policy implementation
• Make amendments to the policy, as required.

The committee will be supported by a dedicated team/secretariat called the Maharashtra State EV Secretariat, that comprises of a team of professionals who will be responsible for monitoring daily operations and report to the committee, who will step in when required.
